A few pics hastily snapped at yesterday's 'Decorative Living Fair' just outside Tunbridge Wells. Despite the disgusting weather, I had a brilliant day...spent lots, sold lots, hugged friends and generally had a brilliant day.
A few purchases ... spotty pots, gorgeous jug and patchwork quilt, all from France. Happy.
At the Workshop I attended on Saturday, Louise of Hope & Elvis showed me the above antique cotton Pocket. A beautiful item, hand stitched, I believe. Worn under the skirt or pinafore. Seeing this beautiful item inspired me. So, I used an old French linen Chemise to make these two Pocket Hip Bags. I really enjoyed making them. They were a challenge though,(a real fiddle faddle) as I had no instructions, but I am quite pleased with how they turned out.
